Millpond Gatherings, Northford. A local gem. A local family spared no expense to restore the mill from a century ago which is now home to a tavern and steakhouse. The building is beautifully redone with indoor and outdoor seating areas. The steakhouse upstairs serves outstanding steaks and chops while the tavern on the lower level offers a nice menu of appetizers and entrees. Nataz Restaurant, North Branford. Excellent food in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Fresh fish, steaks and pasta dishes with a few more eclectic offerings on the specials board. Price fixe with salad and dessert included. BYOB. Dine in or takeout. $$$
Doody’s Totoket Inn, North Branford, A local institution just 5 minutes from The Fieldhouse offering an expansive menu of salads, sandwiches, entrees and daily specials. Dine in one of the oversized booths in the tap room or opt for the quiet dining room. Dine in or take out. $$
Ludal, North Haven. Classic Italian cuisine. Always delicious. Dine in or takeout. $$$
Giovannis Pizza Restaurant, Northford. Good pizza and Italian dishes. Dine in, takeout and delivery offered to The Fieldhouse. $$
Archie Moore’s, Wallingford. Famous for it’s wings, a classic bar setting offering an array of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and flatbreads. $$
U.S.S. Chowder Pot, Branford. A well-known destination for fresh seafood dishes and prime rib along with a variety of other entrees. Separate fun bar area with weekend live music. Dine in or takeout. $$$
Fast food, Longhorn Steakhouse and Olive Garden are less than a 10 minute drive in North Haven.
Famous and iconic New Haven Pizza places are a 20 minute drive. Sally’s, Pepe’s and our favorite Modern Apizza. All delish and nationally acclaimed.

LOCAL CRAFT BEER AND WINE:
Stewards of the Land Brewery, Northford. Neighbors and good friends of The Fieldhouse have opened a lovely brew pub a mere quarter mile from us offering their own craft beer and visits from some great area food trucks. This beautifully refurbished antique farmhouse is where Kenny’s grandmother grew up. In nicer weather, there are lovely outdoor seating areas and live music.

Rose Vineyards and Winery, North Branford: A stunning new venue with in a beautiful setting overlooking the family’s farm and orchards. A variety of wine offerings and small plates are served. A lovely space to relax and enjoy a taste or two.
